The HbG CMS has grown over time from an early attempt simply to provide clients with a few lines of updatable data after other solutions, such as NewsPro went the way of the dino.
As time passed, and my understanding grew, I was able to incorporate new features, and improve the interface. As blogging software such as Graymatter, Moveable Type and Wordpress came along, I caught a glimpse of what was possible. These complicated and mature packages were impressive, but in many cases too complicated for my needs, too hard to modify, or, as some of them grew from freeware to shareware to payware, too expensive.
The challenge was to create a package that was a balance of features and ease of use. HbG CMS is designed for the small site.
